Kick off the most wonderful time of the year at the 32nd Annual Holiday Walk, presented by the White Lake Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau! Join us the weekend of November 21 (2–8 PM) and November 22 (10 AM–4 PM) as the streets of Montague and Whitehall transform into a sparkling winter wonderland filled with music, lights, and community cheer.
✨ Holiday Open Houses
Shop local and soak in the spirit of the season! Downtown and surrounding area businesses will host Holiday Open Houses featuring special sales, gift guides, festive refreshments, and plenty of holiday magic. Visit with Santa Claus, explore beautifully decorated shops, and enjoy the warm, small-town charm that makes the White Lake area shine each holiday season.
🎄 Tree Lighting Ceremonies – Friday, November 21
The festivities begin Friday evening with tree lightings in both towns:
- Montague – Gather at The Artisan Market Village on Water Street at 5 PM for caroling and a 5:30 PM lighting countdown.
- Whitehall – Head to North Mears Promenade starting at 6 PM, with the lighting at 6:30 PM.
Enjoy carols, visits with Santa, and free hot cocoa courtesy of Bronze Sponsor: HarborLight Credit Union. Children are invited to bring a homemade or store-bought ornament to hang on either community tree—and don’t miss make-and-take ornament activities at participating shops!
🐴 Carriage Rides – Friday, November 21 (5–8 PM)
Take a step back in time with free old-fashioned carriage rides through the twinkling streets of both towns.

🚋 Trolley Rides – Saturday, November 22 (11 AM–3 PM)
Hop aboard the Trolley for a festive ride connecting participating merchants throughout Montague and Whitehall. Catch it at The Artisan Market Village or simply wave it down along its route!
