The Montague Wildcats wrapped up a Homecoming celebration that truly struck a chord with the entire community. With “Music Genres” as the theme, each class embraced a different style, creating a week of spirited fun, lively events, and lasting memories for students, parents, and alumni alike.
Spirit Week Rocks the School
Spirit Week set the tone for the Homecoming festivities, with daily dress-up themes that got everyone in the spirit. Monday saw students dressed as their favorite Music Artists, Tuesday was all about Twin Day, on Wednesday the theme was Surfers vs. Bikers, Thursday was Theme Day, the week wrapped up with Blue and White Day on Friday, filling the halls with school colors as everyone geared up for the big game and parade.
Parade Brings Music Genres to Life
A memorable part of the week was the Homecoming parade, where each class showcased their music genre through imaginative and colorful floats.
The parade made its way from the RRO Elementary to the football field, drawing enthusiastic crowds who enjoyed the creative displays. It wasn’t just a school event—it was a community celebration that brought people of all ages together.
Homecoming Court Shines
The Homecoming Court played a special role in the festivities, with students representing their peers with pride. The court included Steven Aebig and Addison Hren, Wyatt Grawey and Gabriella Dietz, Elijah Eilers and Ayla Adams, Kellan Francis and Maizie Collins, Aidan Kutches and Addison Pranger, Bucky Aney and Ava Pelton, Greta Auch and Adilynn Peterson, Jordan Netcott and Abby Dyer, Braylyn Bultema and Jack Degen, Lucas Husband and Trevor Trevino, and Ryver Jarka and David Myers.
During halftime at the Homecoming football game, the King and Queen, David Myers and Addie Peterson were crowned in front of a cheering crowd, marking one of the most anticipated moments of the week.
Game Day and Halftime Festivities
The Homecoming football game drew a spirited crowd, with fans decked out in blue and white, cheering on the Wildcats. The marching band kept the energy up, adding plenty of school spirit with their lively music. The high school cheerleaders were joined on the sidelines by cheerleaders from grades 1-8, who brought even more excitement to the field with their routines. The younger squads stayed in the action until halftime, helping to keep the crowd pumped and engaged.
