Brush Pick-Up Dates: City of Montague & Whitehall

Spring clean-up season is here, and both the City of Whitehall and the City of Montague have announced their brush pick-up schedules to help residents clear yard debris safely and efficiently.

Whitehall Brush Pick-Up: May 5th

Whitehall’s brush collection is set for Monday, May 5th. Residents are asked to place large limbs and tree debris neatly at the curb by the end of the day on Sunday, May 4th to ensure pick-up.

  • Guidelines:
    • Place brush at the curb no later than May 4th.
    • Make sure limbs are easily accessible and not blocking sidewalks or roads.
  • Accepted Items:
    • Large limbs
    • Branches
    • Tree debris
  • Not Accepted:
    • Small twigs
    • Leaves
    • Yard waste
    • Other debris

Montague Brush Pick-Up: Week of May 12th

Montague will begin brush pick-up the week of May 12th. All brush must be placed at the curb by Sunday, May 11th, as only one pass will be made through the city.

  • Important Requirements:
    • Brush must be near the edge of the street.
    • Size limits: No longer than 4 feet and no thicker than 4 inches in diameter.
    • No stumps, large logs, or brush from commercial tree removal.
    • No materials from commercial trimming, construction, or other debris.

Residents also have the option to dispose of brush at the White Lake Area Solid Waste Authority, located at 2100 Holton-Whitehall Rd., following their fee schedule.
