Muskegon County, MI – This October the Muskegon County Convention & Visitors Bureau and White Lake Area Chamber and Visitors Bureau invite you to experience the 20th anniversary of the Depot to Depot Fall Color Tour. This self-guided journey offers a unique opportunity to explore Michigan’s west coast and enjoy the beauty of autumn.
From the Muskegon South Pierhead Light to the White River Light Station, participants will experience the fall colors along the West Michigan Pike Byway. The tour, available from October 1st – 31st, allows you to discover Muskegon County at your own pace and uncover local attractions.
The Depot to Depot Tour aims to draw tourism to Muskegon County during the shoulder season, encourage exploration of the area’s beauty, and promote local businesses through participant engagement with specials and offers. Local businesses are offering Depot to Depot Deals, including discounts and freebies at shops, restaurants, and attractions.
Visitors can collect a free pumpkin (while supplies last) at the White Lake Area Chamber and Visitors Bureau and pick up a free treat and a scenic postcard at the Muskegon County Visitor Center. Both locations also provide trail maps and lists of offers to guide your adventure. To receive specials and offers at businesses, restaurants, and attractions, participants should present their map at participating locations.
Both depots will also host a giveaway, offering a chance to win gift baskets filled with local goodies. To enter, simply fill out an entry form while visiting one or both locations.
In addition to the tour, enjoy various fall-themed events throughout Muskegon County, including harvest festivals and Halloween celebrations. A complete calendar of events is available on the Visit Muskegon Harvest and Halloween page.
