Press Release: Rotary’s Night on the Town fundraiser features West Side Soul Surfers

It doesn’t take long to see the impact Rotary has on the White Lake community.
From the band shell, ice rink warming shelter and gazebo in downtown Montague, to a splash pad bench/umbrella and outdoor gas fireplace in neighboring Whitehall and food distribution, as well as various youth programs, the Montague-Whitehall Rotary Club’s longtime commitment to the community is clear.

To support their mission, the club is hosting its largest, annual fundraising event, “ Night on the Town” Saturday, Feb, 15, at The Playhouse at White Lake, 304 S. Mears Ave, Whitehall beginning at 5:30 p.m.

“The Night on the Town sponsored by the Montague-Whitehall Rotary will provide an evening full of food, entertainment and good company,” said Clarissa Moon, event chairperson. “This special night is our Rotary club’s major fundraiser, to sponsor many organizations throughout the White Lake area. The evening includes a silent auction, raffles, beer/wine sales, along with a concert by Muskegon band West Side Soul Surfers, which is a summer favorite at the band shell concert series.

“Rotary focuses on community, both locally and internationally,” said Esther Baldridge current president of Montague-Whitehall Rotary Club. Rotary is a service organization that works hard to “give back to the community” Events like this are a fun, entertaining way to keep our various projects moving throughout the year.

The silent auction portion of the fundraiser is a lot of fun. You can find dozens of gifts ranging from a basket that will add to your decor, or personal services.

Tickets for The Night on the Town are $100.00 and include heavy appetizers which will be
prepared and served by the Gnarly Heifer, a $25 raffle ticket and early entry to the West Side Soul Surfers concert. They can be purchased from any Rotarian, at the Shelby State Bank Montague Branch or at the White Lake Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau. Concert only tickets can be purchased online at www.THEPLAYHOUSEATWHITELAKE.ORG
