Trash Bash Help Wanted – Chamber Press Release

CALLING ALL TRASH BASHERS: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR WHITE LAKE AREA CLEANUP!

WHITEHALL, MICHIGAN — Grab your gloves, gather your crew, and get ready to bash some trash! The White Lake Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau is calling on community members to join Trash Bash 2025, proudly sponsored by Consumers Energy. This is your chance to show your love for the White Lake Area and help keep it clean, green, and pristine!

Date: Sunday, April 27
Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Meetup Location: White Lake Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau, 124 W Hanson St., Whitehall, MI

We’ll kick things off with a quick action plan before deploying volunteers to tackle trash along the north and south sides of the bike trail, area parks, shoreline spots, and nearby waterways.

What to bring:

  • Dress for the mess – wear clothes that can get dirty
  • Bring sunscreen, gloves, and your adventurous spirit!
  • Trash bags will be provided, thanks to a generous donation from Walmart
  • A big shoutout to Knight Transfer for donating the refuse container!

Water & Trail Warriors Needed!
Got a kayak, canoe, waders, or bike? We need you! WaterDog Outfitters is offering free kayak rentals for volunteers helping clean the waterways (must be cold-water ready and wear proper dry gear). They are also offering a free bike rental for those helping to clean along the bike trails.

Refuel in Style:
The Gnarly Heifer will be set up at WaterDog Outfitters selling tasty eats from their Bullpen  between 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM – perfect for a pre-Bash bite or a post-cleanup feast!

Jimmy’z Pub 21+ Raffle
For our 21+ Trash Bash participants, turn your full trash bag in at Jimmy’z Pub (alley side) and earn a chance to win a special raffle.
