At the April 28, 2025, Whitehall Township Board Meeting, one of the highlights was a visit from Phil Haine, President of the White Lake Pickleball Club, who introduced himself and offered thanks to the township for its ongoing partnership.
Haine shared that as the weather warms, more members—many of whom spend winters in the south—are returning to the courts, bringing renewed energy and increased participation. The club is also preparing to launch a new website to improve communication with members and streamline updates.
A Growing Community of Players
The White Lake Pickleball Club is a dynamic and inclusive group of over 200 members who share a passion for the sport. Players of all ages and skill levels participate in regular drop-in sessions, tournaments, and social events that help build community ties.
The club’s home courts are located at Whitehall Township Park at 7644 Durham Road, where 12 designated outdoor courts are available for public use. During the colder months, members also play at the Viking Athletic Center (VAC) in Whitehall, which offers indoor court access.
How to Join
Membership in the White Lake Pickleball Club is open to everyone and costs $25 per year. Benefits include member communication, club updates, and support for facility improvements.
During the same board meeting, the township approved a $940.21 expenditure to replace a broken post at the pickleball courts and purchase a spare. This proactive investment reflects the township’s commitment to maintaining quality recreational spaces for its residents and partners like the White Lake Pickleball Club.
As the sport continues to grow in popularity across the country, Whitehall Township and the White Lake Pickleball Club are working together to ensure that local players have access to well-maintained, safe, and welcoming facilities.
