Whitehall Vikings Homecoming Parade and Court Celebration

Whitehall, September 27, 2024 – The streets of Whitehall were full of excitement on Friday as the community gathered to celebrate the Whitehall Vikings’ annual homecoming. The evenings events, marked by school spirit and tradition, included a lively parade through town and culminated in the crowning of the 2024 Homecoming King and Queen.

Parade Brings Community Together

The theme for this year’s homecoming was “Decades,” and participants did not disappoint. Each class represented a different era, with vibrant decorations highlighting styles and trends from the different decades. The students brought creativity and Viking pride to the streets of Whitehall. The parade featured the marching band, class homecoming representatives, cheerleaders, varsity girls volleyball, and cross country, creating a vibrant and exciting atmosphere.

Homecoming Court Presentation Steals the Show

As the sun set and the halftime festivities began, the 2024 Whitehall Vikings Homecoming Court took center stage. Dressed in elegant attire, the court members walked across the field, greeted by applause and cheers from the packed stands.

This year’s homecoming court included:

  • Freshmen Representatives: Delainey Shepherd and Judson Musk
  • Sophomore Representatives: Sawyer Sines and Carter Burrous
  • Junior Representatives: Mansah Waller and Jacob Lewis Jr.
  • Senior Representatives:
    • Adalyn Britton and Andon Palmer
    • Audrey Conners and Ryan Goodrich
    • Lianne Fagan and Drew Boeringa
    • Grace McDowell and Tyler Van Antwerp
    • Gracie Peterson and Cam Thompson
    • Sidney Shepherd and Brady Tate

With the crowd eagerly awaiting the announcement, anticipation filled the air as the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived, the Homecoming King and Queen were crowned. Brady Tate and Sidney Shepherd beamed with joy as they were presented with their crowns.

A Night to Remember

The evening was a perfect blend of tradition, school spirit, and Viking pride, leaving memories that will last a lifetime.

With the “Decades” theme and festive atmosphere, Whitehall’s 2024 homecoming will surely be remembered as a fun and joyous occasion for all involved.

CatchMark Community Product Lead Amy Yonkman joined the CatchMark team in 2021 as an office assistant. She quickly became project manager for the Digital Marketing and Media service, and is now the CatchMark Community Product Lead. Amy’s background includes working in preschool classrooms, hospitality, and customer service.
