Farmers & Artisan Markets Open May 10 in Montague

The signs of summer are finally here—and that means the return of two Montague favorites: the Montague Farmers Market and the Artisan Market Village! Both markets will open for the 2025 season on Saturday, May 10, offering local goods, handmade creations, and a vibrant community atmosphere.

Farmers Market: Fresh, Local, and Full of Flavor

This season, the Montague Farmers Market continues its tradition of showcasing locally grown and made products—the very best of Michigan’s summer bounty. Held along Church Street, the market runs Saturdays from May 10 through October 25, now open a little longer from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In response to enthusiastic feedback from both vendors and visitors, Church Street will remain closed to traffic on market mornings, creating a safe and welcoming space to stroll, shop, and catch up with neighbors.

From fresh produce to baked goods, flowers, honey, and handmade treats, there’s something for everyone. Stay updated on the latest market happenings by following the Montague Farmers Market on Facebook.

Artisan Village: Unique Finds from Local Makers

Celebrating its sixth season, the Artisan Market Village also opens May 10—just in time for Mother’s Day gift shopping! Open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Artisan Village is home to a collection of charming cottages filled with one-of-a-kind goods created by local artisans.

The Village is a hub for area residents who run their small businesses from these inviting spaces, offering everything from handcrafted jewelry and home décor to art, textiles, and more. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, you’ll find new vendors and fresh finds all season long.

Support local. Connect with community. And make Montague’s Saturday markets part of your summer tradition.
