MONTAGUE, MI — Scott Beishuizen has officially resigned from the Montague Area Public School (MAPS) Board of Education following a recent move that places him outside of the district boundaries. Scott and his wife Shannon have just completed the construction of their new home in neighboring Oceana County, which makes him ineligible to continue serving on the Montague school board.
Beishuizen has been an engaged and thoughtful member of the MAPS Board for more than eight years, and his departure is a significant change for the district. His contributions to the board reflected a strong commitment to students, educators, and the community at large.
