For many in the White Lake area, The Playhouse at White Lake is a place tied to performances, applause, and the arts. But on Saturday, March 28, the spotlight shifts—not to a production, but to possibility.
The second annual Timeless: White Lake Wedding and Special Event Showcase is not just an open house. It is a statement about what The Playhouse is becoming and who it hopes to serve in the years ahead.
Why This Showcase Matters
“Every year, we are looking for ways to engage with the community and showcase our stunning 17,000 square foot, state-of-the-art Playhouse facility,” said Cindy Beth Davis Dykema, Arts Education and Marketing Director. “This event highlights the many avenues patrons have to enjoy the Theatre, and promotes the wonderful vendors who work with us to host weddings, concerts, reunions, birthdays, and celebrations of life.”
The event comes at a moment when the Playhouse is inviting the community to see the space differently. Weddings, showers, reunions, milestone celebrations, meetings, and private events—these are just some of the ways the venue can become part of people’s lives.
A Behind-the-Scenes Experience
Unlike a performance or traditional tour, Timeless offers an open invitation to explore the Playhouse as a host, not a spectator. Guests can walk through the Glass Lobby, step into dressing rooms lined with illuminated mirrors, and see the mirrored green room designed for staging food and activities. The historic stage and auditorium are open to imagine their own events, from intimate gatherings to large celebrations.
“This event is entirely different because it is all about showcasing our facility and the many partners we collaborate with in the area,” Davis Dykema said. “Guests can meet wonderful local business owners and explore the many ways the Playhouse can be part of every life in the community.”

Partnerships That Bring Events to Life
Local vendors will be on hand to demonstrate their services and share ideas for future celebrations. The Showcase highlights a full range of event support, including catering, photography, and DJ and music and sound partners, giving attendees a chance to see how each piece comes together.
Participating vendors include Edible Delights, Flowers by Maryann, Lady Spirits Bartending, Plum and Proper Dishes, Ready for You Rentals, Redi Rental, The Hearthstone Event Catering, and Lotus Wellness Studio Inc.
“We are all about partnership and collaboration,” Davis Dykema said. “We want to share the wealth of goodness and unique experiences available in White Lake, including grassroots and local businesses that can elevate events both here at the Playhouse and throughout the community.”

Impact Beyond a Single Afternoon
If the Showcase succeeds, it could reshape how often and how widely the Playhouse is used. The goal is not just a few weddings each year, but a venue that serves the entire community for holidays, milestone celebrations, meetings, and private movie nights.
“The more people are aware of our beautiful community facility, the more they can help enjoy, celebrate, promote, and sustain it for the next 110 years,” Davis Dykema said.
Admission is free, and attendees who register and attend will be entered into prize drawings thanks to the participating vendors. Those who cannot attend can still schedule private tours and learn more about the Playhouse’s possibilities.
