Muskegon Conservation District to Host 88th Annual Meeting

The Muskegon Conservation District will host its 88th Annual Meeting on March 23, 2026 from 4:30-7:30 at the Greater Muskegon Woman’s Club, celebrating nearly nine decades of conservation work in the community. Serving Muskegon County since 1938, the District will highlight its accomplishments from 2025 and share plans for upcoming projects in 2026.

The evening will feature a silent auction with items donated by local businesses. Proceeds from the auction will support land management efforts on District-owned properties, helping create and maintain wildlife habitat.

Dinner will be catered by Kuntry Kitchen and will include a baked potato bar for attendees to enjoy while connecting with fellow community members and conservation partners.

Guests will also hear presentations about prescribed fire and the benefits to native plants  from Connie Crancer of Wild Ones Shore-to-Prairie Chapter and Michele Richards, Natural Resources Specialist and Wildland Fire Program Manager with the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.

The Annual Meeting offers a great opportunity for residents to learn about local conservation efforts, meet District staff, and connect with others who care about protecting natural resources in Muskegon County.
