Public Invited to Learn How Voting Works in Muskegon County

Common Ground Community of White Lake invites the public to attend an upcoming nonpartisan community education event titled “Voting in Muskegon County: How the Process Works” on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the White Lake Community Library.

Featured speaker Lori Hayes, Election Director for Muskegon County, will provide information about how elections are administered locally and explain important aspects of the voting process.

Topics will include voter registration procedures, determining voting districts, absentee voting, how votes are counted, election safeguards, and what voters should know before casting a ballot.

The presentation will run from 5:00 to 6:15 PM, followed by a Q&A session from 6:15 to 6:45 PM. Attendees are welcome to stay afterward for informal discussion.

The goal of the event is to provide clear, factual, and accessible information to help community members better understand elections and participate confidently in the voting process.
