White Lake Celebrates Fall with Pumpkinfest 2025

Montague, Mich. –Fall in the White Lake Area wouldn’t be complete without Pumpkinfest! On Saturday, October 11, the 29th Annual Pumpkinfest will fill Downtown Montague with pumpkins, contests, local shopping, and family fun from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Presented by the White Lake Area Chamber & Visitors Bureau, Pumpkinfest is a long-standing community favorite that draws visitors from across West Michigan. This family-friendly day celebrates fall traditions with a full lineup of pumpkin-inspired activities, including: 

  • Artisan & Farmers Markets featuring handmade goods, fresh produce, baked treats, and more 
  • Pumpkin Contests – biggest pumpkin weigh-in, carved pumpkin contest, pumpkin seed spitting, best pumpkin pie, pet costume contest, and more 
  • Pumpkin Launching and the always-popular Pumpkin Freestyle Roll down Dowling Hill at 11 a.m. (Pumpkins available for purchase, $4) 
  • Hayrides, arts & crafts, kids’ activities, pony rides ($5) and more 
  • Delicious offerings from food vendors, bake sales, and the cider mill 

Shoppers will also enjoy the Arts & Crafts Fair, open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with vendors offering holiday décor, jewelry, clothing, woodcrafts, specialty foods, pet products, and more—perfect for early holiday gift-hunting or treating yourself.
