Community Forum to Explore the Role of Money in Michigan Elections

Whitehall, MI — Michiganders for Money Out of Politics will host a public forum titled “A Better Way to Govern: Understanding the Role of Money in Elections” on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the White Lake Community Library, 3900 White Lake Drive, Whitehall. The event will feature Christy McGillivray, Executive Director of Voters Not Politicians, who will discuss how campaign financing shapes Michigan’s elections and policymaking, and what ongoing citizen initiatives are doing to promote transparency in government. The forum is designed as a nonpartisan educational event to encourage informed discussion among community members about the influence of money in politics and potential ways to strengthen public trust in government.
