Community Rallies Behind Bryton Belinger in His Fight Against Cancer

The White Lake area is coming together in a powerful show of love and support for Bryton Belinger, a recent Montague High School graduate who is facing the fight of his life. Bryton, known for his kindness, work ethic, and dedication to helping others, was recently diagnosed with spindle cell rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Bryton has long been recognized as one of those people who’s always ready to lend a hand. Whether it was through Montague FFA, on the baseball field, or helping neighbors with snow plowing and yard work, he’s been the type to put others before himself. Friends and community members describe him as hardworking, genuine, and the kind of young man who gives 110% in everything he does.

Now, the community is giving back to Bryton.

Benefit Event Planned

A Benefit for Bryton Belinger will be held on Sunday, November 30th, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the White Lake Eagles. The event will feature a taco bar, silent auction, raffles, and free-will donations. All proceeds will go toward supporting Bryton and his family as they navigate his treatment journey.

Bryton has already undergone one surgery and is awaiting another, and he will soon begin chemotherapy and radiation treatments at the University of Michigan. Funds raised will help cover medical expenses and travel costs so Bryton and his family can focus on healing and recovery.

Community members are encouraged to attend, donate, and show their support in any way they can. For those unable to attend, donations can be made through the family’s GoFundMe.

T-Shirts for Awareness

Another way to show support is through the #FightLikeABelinger t-shirts, organized by family and friends. The shirts not only help raise funds for the Belinger family but also spread awareness about sarcoma, a cancer that originates in connective tissues such as bones, muscles, tendons, nerves, and blood vessels.

T-shirts feature a yellow ribbon for sarcoma awareness—and the “Fight Like a Belinger” logo on the back. Orders can be placed through the link shared on social media.

Strength and Support

Those who know Bryton say his positive attitude remains unwavering despite the challenges ahead. He continues to approach each day with courage and determination, inspiring everyone around him.

As the GoFundMe page beautifully puts it:

“If you’ve ever met Bryton, you know he’s one of the kindest and most hardworking young men around. He never hesitates to drop everything to help a friend and is always ready to lend a hand — simply because it’s the right thing to do.”

Now it’s the community’s turn to lend a hand to him.
