Spring into learning, creativity, and connection at White Lake Community Library and Montague Branch

March brings a fresh season of programs for all ages at the White Lake Community Library and the Montague Branch. From storytimes and crafts to financial workshops, yoga, and teen activities, there are plenty of opportunities to stay engaged as we head toward spring.


Family Storytime (White Lake Community Library)

Monday March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 | 9:30 – 10:15 a.m.
Families with young children are invited to enjoy stories, songs, and early literacy activities in a welcoming and engaging setting.


Women’s History Bingo (Montague Branch)

Monday, March 2 | 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Celebrate Women’s History Month with a fun twist on a classic game.


Knit, Crochet & Connect (White Lake Community Library)

Mondays March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 | 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Bring your current project or start something new while enjoying conversation and creativity with fellow crafters.


Baby Time (White Lake Community Library)

Tuesday March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 | 9:30 – 10:15 a.m.
Designed for babies and their caregivers, Baby Time includes songs, movement, and bonding activities that support early development.


Toddler Storytime (Montague Branch)

Thursdays, March 5, 12, 19 & 26 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Children ages 2–3 and their caregivers can enjoy books, fingerplays, music, and movement while building early literacy skills.


Gentle Yoga (White Lake Community Library)

Thursday March 5, 12, 19, 26 | 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Certified instructor leads Gentle Yoga sessions suitable for all experience levels. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and water bottle. Cost is $13 per class.


Chair Yoga Class (White Lake Community Library)

Thursday March 5, 12, 19, 26 | 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Chair Yoga with Rhonda Aley provides a supportive and accessible practice focused on strength, flexibility, and relaxation. Suggested donation is $5 or free for Silver Sneakers members.


123 Play With Me (White Lake Community Library) – Registration Required

Thursday, March 5 | 5:30 – 6:45 p.m.
This interactive early literacy program is designed for young children and their caregivers to play, explore, and build foundational learning skills together. Registration required.


Play & Learn (White Lake Community Library)

Friday March 6, 13, 20, 27 | 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Young children and caregivers can enjoy stories, songs, and guided playtime designed to encourage learning and social interaction.


Afternoon Hang (White Lake Community Library)

Friday March 6, 13, 20, 27 | 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Teens are invited to relax, connect with friends, and participate in games or creative activities in a safe and welcoming space.


Cookbook Club (White Lake Community Library)

Monday, March 9 | 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Food lovers are invited to prepare a dish inspired by the month’s theme and gather for an evening of recipes, conversation, and community.


Pick-Your-Own-Book Club (White Lake Community Library)

Tuesday, March 10 | 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Participants select their own book and share about it with the group, encouraging discussion across a variety of genres and interests.


Harbor Light Credit Union Workshop: Protecting Your Identity (White Lake Community Library)

Learn practical tips for safeguarding personal information and preventing identity theft in this informative workshop.


Climate Futures Short Film Festival at the Library (White Lake Community Library) – Registration Required

Leprechaun Traps Family Night Activity (White Lake Community Library)

Thursday, March 12 | 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Families can work together to design creative leprechaun traps in this fun, hands-on activity.


Fire Femme Foods (Montague Branch) – Registration Required

Friday, March 13 | 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Teens can sample favorite snacks while learning about the women behind many well-known treats. Registration required.


Dungeons & Dragons (Montague Branch) – Registration Required

Saturday, March 14 & 28 | 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Teens and tweens are invited to hang out and play Dungeons & Dragons in a welcoming environment. All experience levels are encouraged to join, and snacks are provided.

⚠️Registration is required and covers the full March–May program cycle. Because this is a popular program with a waitlist, participants are asked to commit to all six sessions. Two or more no-call/no-shows may result in removal from the group so another player can participate.


K-Pop Queens (Montague Branch) – Registration Required

Thursday, March 19 | 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Celebrate Women’s History Month through K-Pop crafts and dance. Kids and tweens can dress up, create themed crafts, and learn how female artists use their voices to inspire change. Registration required.


Young Savers Workshop (Montague Branch) – Registration Required

Saturday, March 21 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Presented by HarborLight Credit Union, this interactive workshop teaches kids the basics of saving money through a short presentation and hands-on activities. Registration required.


Grandmothers Group (White Lake Community Library)

Tuesday, March 24 | 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
This welcoming monthly gathering invites women to share thoughtful conversation about life experiences, relationships, and community.


Library Board Meeting (White Lake Community Library)

Wednesday, March 25 | 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
Community members are welcome to attend the monthly board meeting.


Macrame Wall Hanging (Montague Branch) – Registration Required

Monday, March 30 | 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Learn how to create a macrame wall hanging using square knot and alternating square knot patterns. Suitable for all skill levels. Registration required.
